Jazz & Blues In the Village 2012
POSTED: April 16 2012
WELCOME to Jazz & Blues In the Village, a charity fundraiser for the Sarnia Organ Donor's Awareness Group. Now in its' 9th year, our festival promises something for everyone - great music, a wonderful atmosphere, and plenty to eat and drink. Once again, we'll be located in beautiful McGibbon Park in the heart of the city. With the park accommodating only 1500 people, we offer a truly unique, almost intimate, festival experience. Under the heated tent you can enjoy the bands 'up close and personal' or, if you prefer, sit further back and enjoy the music under the sun and stars. Sit at a table, open a lawn chair or just stand and mingle with friends. There's plenty of room for everyone with great viewing from every angle. And don't forget to bring warm clothing as evenings in September can be cool.
All proceeds from this event stay in the Sarnia/Lambton area and are used to assist transplant patients and their families and to assist in research and education on organ donation and transplantation.

Thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers and patrons for another awesome festival. We look forward to seeing you in 2012! And a special thank you to Heather Gillis who took the time to write and send in this great testimonial.
Hi - I just came across your brochure from the September 2011 Jazz & Blues In the Village festival. It was our second year attending and, once again, we were blown away. In 2010, after reading about your lineup, we decided to check it out. We were with 2 other couples and we only attended on the one evening that featured the David Rotundo Band. We absolutely loved that band and I was counting the days till this year in hopes he would be brought back ... and sure enough he was! I told everyone that would listen to me "Ya gotta come check him out" and so they did.
Roughly 20 people came and they were not disappointed. When Dave hit the stage and I looked at their faces I could see the same look that we had the year before. "Holly crap, what the heck is this, and here in Sarnia."
Such an awesome venue too. My husband and I have been avid concert goers for the past 40 years and have travelled to Toronto and Detroit to see some of the biggest names in the business. We both agreed we have not enjoyed a concert anywhere as much as the David Rotundo Band and right here in our own little town and for such a great price.
Thank you.
